I really love this book and wanted to give it as a gift, but it came in a box with no packing on the inside, and there was a ding on the top of the book, and the corner has a good bend, looks bad. Especially for a book for a designer, not a good purchase. Better care should be done for these books since the book is not a hard cover!
Really great poster book of Saul Bass' artwork for some movie posters. The artwork featured is his original designs, before the studios and producers made him change things or add things. Very cool to see! I only wish that there were the final poster designs included, so you could compare his original artwork and concepts to how they eventually were marketed.
Saul Bass was one of the greatest graphic designers of the last century. He designed many legendary film posters. 20 of his best are reproduced on heavy stock. Each is about 9" x 12" and removable for framing. Whether for framing or just looking this is a joy...and a bargain.
