About the Author

Richard J. Diven has almost forty years experience in the demolition industry, as a member of the senior management team at structural demolition company ICONCO between 1964 and 2000, and as founder of R. J. Diven Consulting, LLC. He has played a key role in projects ranging from earthquake repairs in Los Angeles to the demolition of aircraft hangars in Pearl Harbor. Mark Shaurette is an assistant professor in building construction management at Purdue University. He was previously president of Meridian Homes, Inc. and vice president of Ryan Homes. He has a master's degree in civil engineering from MIT and a PhD from Purdue University.

This book tells a lot about demolition. Lots of photos which are not needed. But an overall good book. Many rules that are done regarding a demolition are not mentioned that should be. For example, when demolishing a structure, it is best that any reclamation of wood, steel, or other items from the building structure prior to demolition be supervised. As, removing removing building supports can cause the building to fall differently. There are a few other minor issues, but its a god book. I would like to be able to purchase less expensive paperbacks though.

Amazing book for all beginners in the demo industry. Hits all the topics from start to finish. I highly recommend anyone looking to get into this industry or any new intern/co-op at a demo company.

First off, I am in now way affiliated with these authors, publishers, or trying to promote anything within its pages. If this book isn't suggested study material for every state contracting licensing exam, it should be. Very informative and very comprehensive. The authors were dead on and know their field extremely well. On a business level, I would never recommend this book, (upper hand to the competition !). Unfortunately, I still have a small amount of honor and integrity left in me since becomming a contractor and I have to give this book the recognition and praise it deserves. Great job guys!

Very dry material. Much like a school textbook.

VERY SIMPLISTIC BUT DOES COVER THE SUBJECT. GOOD PHOTOGRAPHS USED TO DISCUSS THE DEMOLITION PROCESS AND DETAIL THE PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED.

This book was a quick over view of the practice of demolition! Does not go into great detail on any one subject but covers nearly every subject on the surface! Good place to start and supplies places to look for next reading!

Good to get started. possibly get you big picture and understand industry aspects.Recommend it as a tool of drawing the starting point

I bought this because I thought it was full of vintage Marvel Comics covers - it was not. Instead it was full of marvel characters by various artists (not mainstream ones by the way) and most if them were extremely pixilated. Also, some of them were in there twice. The book didn't cost that much or I would have given it one star.

Do not buy, I bought this as a gift along with the DC comics coloring book and when i opened it, I was very displeased. The pictures are stolen off the internet and stretched out to fit the book, some where even pixelated. Don't waste your money on this crap, it may look like a good deal but you will me very disappointed once you see it.

I was hoping for more like an adult coloring book idea, or even a regular coloring book. The images in this book are badly pixelated and of very poor quality. I could have done better with a scanner and my home computer and printer!

The quality of this coloring book is varied. Some images are clear, crisp and perfect for coloring in. Others look like they've been blown up from a smaller size, are pixelated, and I could have printed better at home. I'm not thrilled with this product at all.

This coloring book was a little disappointing for us, it wasn't the quality that we are used to buying for coloring in.The pictures are really true to Marvel, the paper is thin and the prints are on both sides of the paper-which means depending on which type of pens, crayons you use it would show throughNot an adult coloring book but really good for kids-especially if they love the marvel super hero'sIt was bought as a gift and the recipient really loved it so I gave it 3 stars

I paid $7.00 for this, expecting the contents to B&W versions of famous marvel comic covers, what I got was not what I was expecting. The contents of said coloring book had not a single thing in common with it's cover, the only commonality was that there were in fact pictures of marvel characters to color in. That is the end of the compliments for this book. The quality control here is insulting to flea market bootlegs. Upon further inspection, this is in fact a bootleg, one of the worst I've ever seen. A grand total of thirty pages, with bad image stretching, empty pages, repeated images and pictures where you can clearly see they didn't even try to fill the page with the picture selected, encompassing the entire book. This is the single worst coloring book I have ever laid eyes on, and I hope my review prevents even one person from wasting hard earned dollars on this farce of a product, or even any more time on its sellers page. The only reason this product even gets a star in this review is because it requires one to submit it

I was so excited to get this. The paper quality for coloring with pencils is less than desirable. Many of the designs have blurry images like a small picture was expanded too big. Some of the same designs are repeated. Some of the images are very old designs. Just wish it was better so we could enjoy coloring our favorite characters.

Very thin coloring book, not worth buying if buying for an adult. The drawings also look more cartoony rather than comic book drawings. I returned it immediately.
