My Childhood Friends...With Benefits v1 presents a pretty solid take on a very tried plotline in BL manga. Though it may not be the most original story out there, I liked the story here and found it gripping and easy to follow. I was very curious to see how Kei would come out to Shou, his childhood friend, but also how he would handle this while dealing with his other friend with benefit, Sasaki. I like these stories but am always curious how the characters handle the situation since someone will always end in sadness unless a new character pops up. It will be curious how this resolves in a future volume.Its a good and pleasant read, pretty safe, and has really good action. The art may not be award winning but it's full of heart. Portrait scenes of the characters and their emotions can be really good at moments.-No extras or afterwords, or etc are in this-
